Impact is a central tenet to Artful. For every artwork purchased on our trips, we return a third of our proceeds from the sale to carefully selected charities.
We call this cycle Artful Impact.
Artful Impact Fund, a Donor Advised Fund of the Boston Foundation, was established with the intention of nurturing artists' work, financing public art, supporting arts education, and promoting other current social issues, like inclusion and sustainability, which are frequently addressed in contemporary art. The currently recommended charities, including VIA Art Fund, Artadia, Mural Arts Philadelphia, and Carbonfund.org, are excellent examples of our mission.
Founded in 2013, VIA Art Fund is a nonprofit organization where art patrons join forces to support (V)isionary (I)nitiatives in (A)rt. VIA partners directly with artists, curators, and cultural institutions around the world to sponsor various innovative public artistic endeavors—including the production of new work for exhibition, institutional acquisition, symposia, educational programs, publications, and scholarly journals. Since its inception, VIA has awarded over $4 million in grants to a growing number of groundbreaking artists and leading cultural institutions.
Founded in 1999, Artadia is a national nonprofit organization that finds innovative visual artists and supports them with unrestricted financial awards and connections to a network of opportunities. Artadia was started by a group of philanthropic art collectors who understood that visual artists could benefit greatly from financial and professional support. Since its inception, Artadia has awarded over $5 million in unrestricted funds and has provided grants to over 300 artists across multiple cities.
Founded in 2004, Carbonfund.org is a leader in the fight against climate change. Carbonfund.org makes it easy and affordable for any individual, business or organization to reduce and offset their climate impact and quicken the transition to a clean energy future. The fund achieves its mission by investing in climate change education, global third-party verified carbon offset and reduction projects, and public outreach. Since its inception, Carbonfund.org has purchased 38 billion pounds of CO2 offset and planted over one million trees around the world.

As a small private firm, Artful has started its journey to becoming a Certified B Corporation. As a pending B Corp, we are instituting practices and processes that balance purpose and profit. Our vision—to live in a world where anyone can have access to the best art experiences while supporting local and sustainable art and travel organizations—is consistent with the philosophy of Certified B Corporations. Our goal is to operate to benefit all our stakeholders, which starts with our customers and our employees and includes our art and hospitality partners. This is consistent with our Artful Impact philosophy.
In addition to offering our customers the opportunity to offset their jaunt's carbon footprint by donating to Carbonfund.org when booking a trip, Artful has also become a partner with Carbonfund.org. What that means is that Artful Jaunts offsets its entire carbon footprint as a company and business operating as a tour operator. We love travel and the environment and seek to be a responsible leader in both.
