Clare Heywood
Clare completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, majoring in East Asian Studies with a focus on Korean language acquisition and East Asian art historical studies. After graduation, Clare moved to Seoul, South Korea, living and working there for nearly four years from 2021 to 2025. While in Korea, Clare worked as an ESL instructor, fostering a love of the English language in students of all ages. Having taught a range of subjects within ESL, ranging from upper level literature courses to early childhood phonics, Clare has a deep understanding of and appreciation for all that makes the English language tick. A lover of poetry and art from a young age, Clare is passionate about writing and the ways in which she can use it to reach others. Clare is currently based in Southern Maine and loves to travel, visit museums, read, and write creatively in her free time.
