Gisela brings to Artful her diverse experiences as a tour leader, curator, sales representative, and arts writer. She moved to New York from São Paulo, Brazil, in 2007 to earn a MA in Contemporary Art History at Sotheby's Institute of Art (after studying Social Communication at ESPM-São Paulo, Fine Arts at FAAP-SP, and Contemporary Dance at the School For New Dance Development in Amsterdam). Gisela has also organized more than twenty independent art exhibitions showcasing emerging artists and has been a sales representative for top international galleries at art fairs such as TEFAF, Frieze, The Armory Show, and Art Basel Miami Beach. She is the New York correspondent for both Vogue and GQ Brazil magazines, and has also written for Architectural Record and Elle among other publications.
Gisela walks an average of 15,000 steps every day in New York as she explores galleries and museums, and is looking forward to leading Artful's clients on upcoming trips.
