Katherine Stephens

Experience Director

Katherine was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. Her interest in art and art history began as a young girl pouring through her parents' art books and visiting art museums. It solidified in her senior year of college during an internship at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts and after college when she spent a year in Orvieto, Italy working for a studio art and art history program. Over the next ten years, she studied and worked in the art world, developing a deep interest in experiences that merge art and hospitality and ultimately make art and the story of art more accessible to anyone.

Katherine holds a Certificate in Museum Studies and Curating from Sotheby's Institute of Art in London and an MA in Art History from the University of Houston where she focused on early modern art. She has worked at the Menil Collection in Houston, Texas, the Judd Foundation in Marfa, Texas, and the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. Most recently, she helped develop a boutique private members' club and hospitality brand in Dallas, Texas. Katherine continues to curate art shows and manage the artist residency program there.

She loves to travel and research her destinations, always on the hunt for unique and delicious restaurants, coffee shops, important cultural sites, and, of course, the top art museums and galleries.
