Kendall Bartel

Summer Intern

Kendall Bartel recently graduated cum laude from Barnard College of Columbia University. She received departmental honors for her art history major thesis which connected the unusual mosaic personification of the Caritas virtue in St. Mark's Basilica in Venice with its precedent in a Byzantine illuminated manuscript found at the Monastery of St. Catherine in Sinai. Studying art history brought her to NYU Florence for her junior year, where she immersed herself in the Italian language and culture. After her tenure as a summer intern at Artful Jaunts, she is thrilled to be returning to Italy to participate in the International Internship Program at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. Prior museum experience includes an internship at the Millicent Rogers Museum in Taos, New Mexico. She aspires to build an international career at the intersection of the fine arts, fashion, and business.

Kendall is also an avid photographer. She founded her portrait business, specializing in senior photos, during high school, which she fine-tuned through four seasons of college graduations in New York City. She has directed, produced, and photographed dozens of fashion editorials which have been published digitally and in print.
