You are invited to join Steven High, Executive Director, The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art and Christopher Jones, Stanton B. and Nancy W. Kaplan Curator of Photography and Media Art for an immersive art experience during Art Basel Miami in South Beach highlighted by VIP access to Art Basel Miami art fair. This experience will highlight a combination of the must-see art Miami has to offer the week of the fair with private visits to artist studios and collector homes. Miami's art scene has boomed in the last several years as more artists, collectors and galleries migrated south. This tour will offer a broad and deep view of one of the most engaging art scenes in the US today.
This Miami experience will take members from the trendy, design-focused Wynwood area developed by Craig Robins to the hip emerging artists' studios who call Miami home. Collector visits will not only include the famous de la Cruz and Rubell private museums, but also the seldom seen private homes of well-known collectors, including Jorge and Darlene Perez. The tour will include select highlighted museum and gallery exhibitions at locations such as El Espacio 23, The Bass and Nina Johnson.
