The brainchild of Walmart heiress Alice Walton, Crystal Bridges, has, since its founding, become a major pilgrimage site for art enthusiasts and the home to a growing number of American art masterpieces. In February 2020, the museum opened an entirely new satellite building: The Momentary, a 63,000 square foot space dedicated to contemporary art.
