The centerpiece of this trip is a day experiencing magical Glenstone, one of the most exciting new private museums in the world. Located in Potomac, Maryland, 15 miles from downtown Washington, D.C. and set on nearly 300 acres, Glenstone is renowned for its idyllic architectural spaces and unparalleled collection—1,300 works by some of the most important post-World War II artists from around the world. The first exhibition building was designed by Charles Gwathmey; its new building ("the Pavilions") was designed by Thomas Phifer and Partners.
Developed and financed by the not-for-profit Glenstone Foundation, co-founded by billionaire American businessman Mitchell Rales and curated by his wife and museum director Emily Wei Rales, Glenstone—which collects artists in-depth and will only pure work after an artist has been exhibiting for 15 years—has been compared to other internationally-renowned and historically-revered U.S. private museums such as the Frick Collection and The Phillips Collection. During your time in Baltimore and Washington DC, you will also visit major museum exhibitions of the moment, as well as artist studios, new galleries, and collector homes.
Our Glenstone Jaunt is priced at $5,500 per person and includes all transportation, lodging, and meals during your trip. Our trips do not include flights to or from your destination.
