Experience Indigenous Art in Santa Fe

Artful is delighted to propose a trip to Santa Fe with a focus on indigenous artists, curators, and institutions. Nestled amongst the picturesque Sangre de Cristo foothills and known for its Pueblo-style architecture, Santa Fe's beauty has stolen the hearts of artists, art lovers, and adventurists alike. The city is home to some 300 galleries, many of which line a one-mile stretch of Canyon Road, and a small but mighty selection of world-class museums, each with unique collection strengths.

We will visit well-known institutions like the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, located in downtown Santa Fe and within walking distance of the historic Plaza. This collection is the single largest repository of O'Keeffe's work in the world. The Museum of Contemporary Art at the Institute of American Indian Arts is one of many visits that will highlight the unique institutions, exhibition spaces, and curators that together support Santa Fe's history of indigenous art production. While some visits will take us out of the city center and into New Mexico's countryside, many will be within walking distance of the hotel; please be prepared for some travel by foot.

We will stay at the four-star La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa located on six historically rich acres in the heart of the city. Known as the Art Hotel of New Mexico, this Santa Fe gem embraces its history as an icon of the American Southwest, displaying works from established artists in a professionally curated gallery and throughout its spacious suites.
