A highlight of our trip to Paris will be our visit to Grand Palais Art Basel Paris. The second edition of this fair will exhibit artist works from 154 premier galleries participating. We will experience a curator-led tour of select galleries from across the globe. Art Basel Paris will offer both a broad and deep view of the most engaging art across the globe today.
The trip starts in Paris on October 16, 2024 in the early evening. Starting with a visit to the private collection of Almine Rech. Almine Rech Ruiz-Picasso is a French art dealer and owner of the eponymous contemporary art gallery. The gallery is known for its representation of minimal, perceptual, and conceptual artists such as James Turrell, John McCracken, and Joseph Kosuth, occupying spaces in Paris, Brussels, London, New York, Shanghai and Monaco.
In Paris, we will stay at the five star Hôtel Bel Ami in Saint-Germain-des-Prés one of the four administrative quarters of the 6th arrondissement of France, located near the church of the former Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The Hotel Bel Ami is ideally located in the district near historic Café de Flore and Les Deux Magots frequented by many famous artists. The atmosphere of the Bel Ami is inspired by the Left Bank, an artistic and literary district, which makes it a lively cultural neighboorhood.
We begin our trip to London on Sunday, October 20, 2024 in the late morning. If you are already with the group we will travel to the Paris Gare du Nord train station to get our Eurostar train to London St Pancras. If you are joining us in London, we will start the day with a gallery tour, so we recommend an early morning arrival.
We will stay at Brown's hotel in London. In the heart of London's elegant Mayfair, Brown's Hotel is an iconic luxury hotel where history and 21st century sophistication come together. The retreat of choice for royalty, presidents and literary greats over the centuries, Brown's Hotel is an enduringly distinguished destination in London.
